After six incredible, memorable and messy years, T Bar, as we knew it, has now come to an end but not before one last night of magic.
On July 24th, we will be taking over a warehouse in East London and Boston's finest, Soul Clap will be hosting the final hurrah with fellow Wolf + Lamb artist Nicolas Jaar and London's own, Floating Points.
2009 beamed down a whole world of musical illness in the form of SOUL CLAP and since that magical invasion it seems to have been one non-stop, mind altering trip of deepness to the next from their first release on Airdrop to what is sure to be the big summer smash, Extravaganza, a re-edit of a Jamie Foxx track released on Wolf + Lamb.
Alongside them is label mate NICOLAS JAAR with the UK debut of his live set. In 2008, at just 17, after his first release, The Student EP on Wolf + Lamb, Seth Troxler called him 'one of the most talented minds dance music is about to see develop' and listening to the few releases he has made since then it is easy to see why the high praise and great expectation. US born, Chilean raised, Jaar's super slowed down and seductive tracks are hard to resist with their combination of horns, guitar, plenty of percussion and evident Latin influence even at moments dipping to a mighty slow 75bpm, they are impossible not to move to.
Topping it off is another boy wonder, FLOATING POINTS aka Sam Sheperd. Hailing from the talented family of CDR Sessions in London, he is one of the most promising producers to be watched out for. Citing names as varied as Theo Parrish, Dorothy Ashby and Stravinsky as major influences on his work, it is not hard to see that he has musical knowledge way beyond his years, and having been an accomplished pianist since the age of 16 - he is a true musician.
As a DJ, mostly his sets sit between boogie & house. & his fascination with both genres sees him hopping continents digging in dusty crates for gems he’s yet to hear!
