++ UPROOT ANDY
One half of the award winning, ever powerful Que Bajo?! party, Andy is fresh off a European tour looking for a piñata to wreck. His signature blend of digital, clubready, "post-geographic 'folk' music", as described by XLR8R Mag, will deliver some of the freshest sounds coming out of South America, Africa, BROOKLYN and beyond.
++ CUMBA MELA
A DJ trio that explores the boundless world of global bass music, Cumba Mela's members were born and raised in one of the world’s most culturally diverse communities, New York City. The influences of their surroundings have lead to experimentation with various international genres; Afro-Colombian Bass, Samba, Tribal House, Balkan-Brass, and many more. With sets that incorporate live percussion, crowd involvement is highly encouraged.
++ DJ REAGANOMICS
Resident of Brooklyn's famously variety-obsessed Rubulad parties, Reaganomics never fails to deliver bangers from all over the world: Kuduro, Juke, Batucada, Bhangra and other examples of regional underground shake appeal. Any drinks purchased during his set are tax exempt.
His production work for RYE RYE, MIA, Lil Wayne, and Afrikan Boy don't even begin to touch on Zakee's depth as an artist. A purveyor of quality music from across the map, you'll be caught dancing to hood anthems, Philly club jawns, and Zak's spin on West African Kuduro, known as KUKU Bass. With remixes for Buraka Som Sistema, The Very Best, and an album on the way for Green Owl, 2010 is looking like a bright year for the producer/DJ/revolutionary.
Krts makes beautiful music incorporating bits of Dubstep, Glitch hop, Electronica, and raw Brooklyn Beats. His live PA sets are known to break necks; his basslines have induced cardiac arrest. You're certain to hear a mix of Krt's own original productions, remixes, and other heavy hitters for dance floor consumption.
++ MIOS DIO
A friend to those in the discothèque, Mios Dio treads across Cumbia Nueva, Latin Bass, and Ghetto House styles. His Tropical Lowend obsession finds him introducing the listener to whistles, layers of percussion, plenty of hand claps, and an overall "fiesta" atmosphere.
