Just Say YES! is an event to promote positive development through arts and entertainment and to influence the social climate, as much of it is dominated by culturally and ecologically irresponsible decisions made based on bottom-line thinking. Popular media is an excellent indicator of our current state; it actively destroys originality and the appreciation of creativity through cookie-cutter production and a one-size fits-all attitude, completely disregarding consequence. With a population facing ecological and economic crises and cultural decay, our goal is to spark independent thought, individuality, and creativity. The Beach Plaza bar will also be offering drink specials all day and night and a portion of event proceeds will benefit the National Wildlife Foundation in gulf disaster relief efforts to keep our beaches beautiful and our ecosystem alive and healthy.
