Line-up /Pablo Decoder (Minimal Kidz / Big&Dirty), Mike Hulme (U&A), Jackiroqs (live), Knickers (dj set) + DCDJs and Mark McIver
It's with regret that your friends here at OFE towers inform you that The Losers Live set planned for October will have to be postponed. Unfortunately Eddie had been double booked for this date and whilst we tried everything we could to make this happen, it just wasn't to be...
BUT! We have managed to agree a date later in the year, pre-Christmas for Losers to come up to Manchester so they will still be playing for us (and you!) and getting involved in some big moustache fun - very soon! :)
Jackiroqs and Knickers DJs will still be playing as per the original line-up and in fact this has worked out amazingly well as we're now able to bring you 2 more artists for this October event! (namely, Pablo Decoder and Mike Hulme!)
Pablo Decoder (Minimal Kidz / Big&Dirty)
We've wanted to book Pablo Decoder since we started this whole thing, we've been a big fan of his work for a while now and he truly is a lover of eclectic sounds, dipping his toe into various styles and genres during his career. Pablo was previously part of the electro, punk outfit THE DEATHKIT (check out their ravey re-working of Blur's Beetlebum - it's fucking brilliant!), and is also a talented vocalist, DJ, producer, remixer and all round musician!
Pablo moved to Berlin earlier in the year and has been working on his recently released 'Sometimes Lonely' EP which is a much more poppy affair but still with uncompromising production values and a get up and dance feel to it! And all this whilst working on 'Minimal Kidz' which is a record label project based out of Berlin pushing the underground house and techno sound.
Pablo's heading up to Manchester to give us one of his DJ club sets. I have no idea what to expect from this man but I know it will be brilliant!

Mike Hulme (U&A)
Mike is definitely an underground favourite of ours. Having worked under the ‘Introspective’ alias for almost a decade, Mike's now recording under his own name and has a discography that includes over 25 singles and 3 mix compilations (including 2 Ministry of Sound ‘Sessions’).
His '100mg' single last year on the U&A imprint was massive and really hit the spot with those who like their techno warm and dark. It was getting plenty of plays from techno heavyweights such as Popof, Dubfire & Meat Katie.
Since then, Mike's dipped off the radar a little & retreated back into the bunker where he's been continuing to develop his perfect MAXI-TECHNO sound. Mike is currently working on some new remixes and a second single for U&A and will be gracing the decks with us for this night. We can't wait :)
Find out more about him here:
Jackiroqs is a Stoke-on-Trent based Producer and Live Artist. His production is individual and a sound that is likely to grab you by the bollocks or twist your tiptoes, consisting of a meaty fusion of energetic techno and electronic stabs making way for some aggressive but yet quirky peak-time quality dance music.
On 23rd October, Jackiroqs will debut his brand new Live Act performance lasting for just over an hour, consisting of a number of self-produced original mixes and remixes since the 'Jackiroqs Project' went into full operation in January 2010. Expect to hear a continuous flow of upbeat-mind-bending-material, heavy beats and pulsating intelligent electronics.
With tracks released with Fractured Beats Recordings (London) under a different alias name, his new pounding electro remix of Eskimo Elktro's 'Berlin' released on Stop Listen Dance Records (London), offers of work from new independent UK record labels, as well as a pre-recorded DJ set to be aired on Manchester Global Underground Radio in August, 2010 appears to be that of busy year for someone who never expected such a great response to a project based on enjoyment and personal vision.
Apparently, 'There Is No Face'
Knickers (DJ Set)
We welcome the boys back following their live set back in April, which was definitely the highlight of the night! This set see's Brady and Andy show us what they're capable of with CDJ's as battle weapons....

Our Friends Eclectic is a celebration of all things good in the dance music world. Be it House, Techno, full on Electro, Berlin Minimal, chunky Breakbeat or even Italo-Disco we love all forms of underground dance music and aim to bring you regular Manchester raves that demonstrate our love for those sounds.
We're a houseparty in a club and we ask our renowned DJ's to play *literally* whatever they want. This is a chance for them to maybe try something new and perhaps play a set they might not get to play in other clubs where the crowd are expecting a 'certain sound'....
We hate the big club mentality of booking huge names, charging £15 entry, ramming the club past capacity and then taxing you £6 a drink. If you're tired of this shit too, come check us out and support the real underground Manchester scene.
