Few figures in contemporary music have influenced their field in the way that Frankie Knuckles has revolutionized dance music. As one of the world’s most renowned DJs, Frankie Knuckles packs dance floors with a unique style developed over twenty years. He has played a pivotal role in the creation and evolution of "house" music and is universally regarded as "The Godfather of House".
As a producer and remixer, Frankie has been nominated twice and also won a Grammy Award. He has worked with everyone from Michael Jackson, Mary J Blige, Chaka Khan, Diana Ross, En Vogue, Toni Braxton, Lisa Stansfield and Janet Jackson through to Patti Labelle, Elton John and Luther Vandross. He has also produced four compilation albums, the latest "Motivation" released in 2002 containing an uplifting mix of gospel house songs featuring artists such as Kenny Bobien, Urban Blues Project, Shernette May, Annette Taylor and Susu Bobien. also featuring his signature track "The Pressure" by Sounds of Blackness and his singles "Keep on Movin" featuring Nicki Richards and "Walkin" featuring Adeva. In 2003 Knuckles will release his first artist album of original songs featuring Nicki Richards with guest appearances by Will Downing and Jamie Principal.
