Olivier Ducreux, aka Shonky was introduced to the Parisian dance scene via Dan Ghenacia’s infamous Sunday ‘Kwality’ Batofar parties. He went on to be a prominent influence in the revival of the underground dance music scene in Paris and in 2005, his production took off with his first EP release, ‘Let Me Ask You’ on Freak n’ Chic. The following years saw him release on Mobilee, Substatic, Resopal and Contexterior with his debut album ‘Time Zero’ in 2008 only cementing his seat as an industry leader. An artist who’s tireless and hardworking approach to music leaves us more than honoured to have him play for us at Half Baked!

Shonky will be joined by the sounds of Nikos & Ison from Regular Irregular & Greece’s Reworks festival. After a memorable performance at this year’s incredible Reworks in Greece we couldn’t not have these guys come to play for us!! In the London corner we have Kubicle’s Matlar –a well known face to most of us who has rocked Kubicle’s floors many a time – this time he’ll rock Half Baked’s – and of course, our very own Robin Ordell!

Jay Shepherd fell in love with electronic music in the 90s. Soon after, a set of decks and a sampler arrived and Jay became immersed in the fascinating world of sound structure. His first releases came out in 2003 under the alias John Julian on the ‘Sounds Like Soul’ imprint run by fellow Juno employee Adam 'The Doc' Roberts. Jay now runs his own label Retrofit, which we are huuuge fans of! With two incredible vinyl releases under its belt we are so happy to welcome Jay to Half Baked After Hours!

Alongside Jay will be Detroit native, Eric Johnston. Now based in Germany, Eric is continuously pushing the boundaries of dance genres, whether it be minimal, house, tech-house, or techno. In both his live PA and his DJ sets Eric always has one ear toward the best of the classic Detroit sound and the other toward the cutting edge of European dance music, creating his own distinctive sound. Half Baked’s Hamid and Robin will be, as always, behind the booth with their epic sets – we can’t wait!!
