Having imported some rather special international artists over for the last two months, Headrush are turning their attention closer to home this October and bringing one of the UK’s most celebrated homegrown talents to Timbuk2 - Andy Stott.
Hailing from the moodiest depths of Manchester, Stott’s warm and austere sounds have been a staple of British underground techno for the last 5 years, most importantly as a leading figure of Modern Love’s electronic dub ruminations. At once hard and warming, Stott’s unique breed of techno has always had one foot in raw dancefloor drive and the other deeper in the depths of sonic exploration.
With more recent excursions seeing Stott verge into the realms of twisted 2-step as part of Millie and Andrea alongside Miles Whittaker of Pendle Coven, expect to be gently pummelled by a wide range of physical sounds from this month’s very special guest.
Main room support comes from Resident Advisor’s Richard Carnes and Headrush locals Hodge, Tom Grant and Leewok, bringing with them the very best in house, techno and anything else that fits.
