Winter means one thing for mono_cult. … time to prepare for our now infamous NYD party at Leeds institution The Faversham. So wrap up in your winters warmers, get your Christmas shopping well in advance and prepare your body mentally and physically because this year we have planned our biggest party to date.

Past parties have brought killer names the likes of Ame, Johnny D, Ralph Lawson & Reboot to name a few to the city and this year is no exception. With twelve hours of music brought to you by an array of House, Disco and Techno talent plus a few little surprises along the way we promise that our New Years Day party is the only way to welcome in the New Year.

We have enlisted the help of a few names you may be familiar with to assure our house hits it harder than any other ….

Soul Clap
One of the biggest acts of 2010 bring their hype machine to the mono_cult dancefloor.  With huge releases on label of the moment Wolf & Lamb and DJ performances which have resonated through the industry, we found it hard not pick such an impressive duo to kick start the new year.

Damian Lazarus
Crosstown Rebels is a label synonymous with the best underground music of the past 8 years and who better to test the Funktion One to the limit than it's head honcho . Damian showcases his eclectic musical taste blending genres with ease, never compromising the flow of the music which can be heard on his huge Fabric 54 mix CD. Consistently impressing us for half a decade with his forward thinking track selection he will be sure to strike a relentless groove for those experiencing his NYD set.

The Mole
After witnessing a sublime set at house heavyweights secretsundaze's party in the hills above Barcelona this year, Wagon Repair's The Mole was an early addition to our New Year soiree bringing his unique blend of Funk, House, Techno & Disco to the North for another mono_cult exclusive.

Midland
Being one of the most hotly tipped producers for 2011 brings added pressure, with releases on London Labels Phonica & Aus, Midland has already began to live up to the hype. With his FACT podcast receiving rave reviews and a number of highly anticipated remixes around the corner, Midland blurs the lines of electronic music. We cant wait to witness this unique performance.

Simon Baker
Last but not least is our very good friend and mono_cult resident Simon Baker. Simon has had an impressive summer with gigs all over the world and stand out sets at this seasons Kehakuma party,  Space, Ibiza. Fresh from his recent US tour and with his new album primed and ready for release on 2020Vision in the new year, we can't wait to hear the killer set our new resident bring to the main room this NYD.

As always we will be welcoming our friends & family to join in the festivities. Leeds newcomers Laloop are hosting the Gimp Room. Gav Paul & Ryan Hope laying down the grooves in our White Lounge with the support of Jaunt DJs Blackhall & Bookless and Manchesters New Kids on the Block, Treehouse . A recent refit for The Faversham gives the venue  a new layout, additional capacity , new DJ booth and a fearsome Funktion One soundsystem.
