Kid Massive aka Benjamin Pedersen was raised in London but relocated back to Copenhagen in Denmark, where he became an active part of the electronic music scene.
He won the award for BEST UPFRONT SINGLE at the 2005 DANISH DJ AWARDS where he also was nominated for the BEST PRODUCER 2005 along side TRENTEMØLLER & MORTEN TRUST(aka SOULMAGIC). He was nominated for 3 Awards at the 2006 DANISH DEEJAY AWARDS, and has recently joined the UK based label BARGROOVES as a bi-monthly guest dj on the saturday night BARGOOVES SESSIONS sent nation wide in the UK on GALAXY FM.
His labels SOUNDSLIKE & JUSTSOUL RECORDS have been a huge success... The first 12" from his soulful imprint KID MASSIVE & KRIZZ - INNERVISION sold out within the first week. Nr2 on JUSTSOUL picked up great support from the likes of MR V - K ALEXI - RICHARD EARNSHAW and more.. due for release Feb 07.. this cut includes remixes by CHARLES DOCKINS and THE RHYTHM SLAVES. KM also launches a new label JUSTRAX RECORDS, which will be an outlet for his heavier tunes. t The first 12" KID MASSIVE - EASE YO SELF, includes remixes by US dons GRANITE & PHUNK and Holland's finest ALEX ROMANO. KM's AUTOSOUL album is nigh on finished, produced along side Richard Gow /Rhythm Slaves) for MIDEM 07. Kenny Hawkes has now achieved global status as one of the world's leading exponents of house music, with a string of acclaimed productions on labels such as MFF, 2020 Vision and NRK, as well as regularly headlining at the world's leading clubs. Most recently Kenny has teamed up with David Parr to produce exclusive tracks for 20:20 Vision. The pair are being touted as one of the hottest new production partnerships around, producing insanely catchy electronic house music that is deep and melodic, crossing the electro deep- and tech-house divides. As fashions change and music evolves, Kenny has established himself as one of the most respected and consistently creative house DJs in the world. His sets always have an air of quality, flowing through different styles - modern soul/ jackin' house/ minimal tech/ Detroit techno, and mark him as a true house DJ with depth and soul.
Nominated by legendary Back to Basics promoter Dave Beer to take part in the hugely successful 6 part TV docu-series The Joy Of Decks aired on ITV1 in Autumn 2003, and mentored by Tom Middleton (who coined him "The 3rd Jedi") for 3 months, Ryan Shaw won the competition and since then has toured the world as resident DJ for the Smirnoff Experience, taking in the festival circuit (Big Chill, Bud Rising, Bestival, TDK, Leeds Festival and Exit Serbia), and supporting the likes of Derek May, Paul Woolford Dan Ghenacia Jo Mills Anderson Noise, Tom Middleton, the Glimmer Twins, Ralph Lawson, Chloe, Mr C, Chris Coco, Soul Mekanik James Holroyd, Trentemoller Smokin Jo Layo and Bushwacka! Sebo K, Alex Under & more. Resident at the Legendary Leeds clubbing institution Back to Basics since 2004, Ryan co-hosted The Play Music Show on LSR 106.6fm from 2004 to 2006. The show attracted a following of music heads from all over the globe. Ryan's style ranges from deep electronic house music through to minimal techno via digital disco and electro funk. In February 2004 Ryan compiled and mixed the cover mount CD for DJ magazine to high acclaim, incorporating boogie funk to electro via break beat and house.
Part of the Phonica Records team in London, Ryan is currently working on remixing his own tracks live and moving forward with his own productions.
