London party yahoos Ketoloco return for another choice gathering on October 31st, and this time it’s a double celebration… firstly, this party marks another instalment in their much anticipated Ketoween series to celebrate, yup, Halloween, and secondly it’s an event to mark the party brotherhood’s 4th Birthday.
The story is now legendary: back in 2006 a collection of music loving, hard partying students got together to throw wholly illegal parties in their Headingly basement. Quite simply, the parties became stuff of legend until, of course, the Federales got wind of the unhinged fun and put an end to it all. But no matter… the brand has since grown to encompass events and DJ sets at MOS, Back to Basics, all over Ibiza and even at Fabric, whilst the original acid house spirit of the parties has never been forgotten.
Returning once again to the Light Bar, Ketoloco invite back Space Ibiza resident, Intimacy label boss and classy house and techno producer Paul Woolford aka Bobby Peru (who played the ‘Loco basement parties in the early days) for a headline set. He’ll be ably backed up by rising London based talent Benz Gomori of Baker Street Recordings and Cubism association and of course, the Ketoloco DJs with have a 6 hour back to back showcase to retell the story of their musical make up from pulsing techno right through to deep house.
The party will make use of both the indoor and outdoor spaces at The Light Bar so there’ll be no need to worry about the cold October weather, whilst the main room and loft space will be transformed into spooky, cavernous arenas complete with a full light show to bring that ghoulish and witchy Halloween vibe to proceedings. What’s more, the heated roof top terrace will be littered with fire breathing goblins and other evil and mischievous carry-ons… head up there only if you dare!
Things kick off at 2pm so the tone of the music will mirror the descent into early evening darkness as the fancy dress freaks come out, the eerie shadows appear and things take a much more mischievous turn…
