Shaun Reeves (Crosstown Rebels, Wolf + Lamb. US)
Iron Curtis (Morris Audio, Mule Electronic, DE)
+ Louche Residents
We are Louche, A Leeds and now London based clubnight and podcast series. Throughout our three years throwing parties up north, it has always been an ambition to take on the capital. This October sees it all begin, where at our new home The Gramaphone we welcome good friend Shaun Reeves & the exciting Berlin house starlet Iron Curtis for his UK debut.
Shaun is a strong favorite of ours; his performance at our Christmas party last year was absolutely superb so we were more than keen to bring him to out first London party. The Detroit star has seriously blown up over the last few years; with releases on labels of the moment Wolf + Lamb and Crosstown Rebels amongst other exiting projects. His distinctive, cutting edge dj sets continue to thrill audiences the world over, always a perfect blend of all forms of house and techno. With partners in crime Seth Troxler, Lee Curtiss and Ryan Crosson they have reformed as their old production outfit Visionquest, and are now performing live; the four of them taking musical control of venues such as DC 10 all night long. Shaun remains committed to pushing all genres of dance music forward, and as the recent resurgence of interest in the border between house and techno makes all too clear. Don't miss this rare chance to catch him in such an intimate space.
Iron Curtis has been releasing music since the back end of 2008, and two years on, his music is gaining global recognition. A classic deep house producer, his music is groovy and atmospheric, intelligently arranged and constructed with an array of analogue gear. Releases over the last two years on respected underground labels Morris Audio and Mule Electronic have found their way into the biggest DJs boxes. His Stansfield EP on Hudd Traxx went down an absolute storm in the deep house community bringing plaudits from all over. As a DJ his sets ooze class, journeying from his own deep house sound through to tech house and techno smoothly; interwoven with deep, brooding vocals and floating melodies. Needless to say we're delighted to welcome this fresh new star over to Louche for his first ever UK appearance.
Don't miss your chance to see Shaun Reeves & Iron Curtis in the cosy confines of The Gramaphone. The Venue, one of our favourite London basment hang-outs is a space we're very much in love with. A great soundsystem serving an intimate 200 capacity coupled with it's low ceilings and raw exposed brick work has made The Gramaphone our first choice to begin our residency in the capital.
Over the years we have welcomed artists from around the globe to our parties, talents such as Seth Troxler, Mathias Kaden, Lee Foss, Brother's Vibe, Dinky, Delano Smith, Gadi Mizrahi and Art Department to name but a few. We even booked a young party animal called Seth Troxler for his first ever visit to the UK at the age of just eighteen. As the musical landscape has shifted and evolved so have we, growing from a small night amongst friends into a monthly event showcasing cutting edge dance music that we love. Come down and join us; we hope to see some old faces as well as new for our first party in the capital. see you there : )
