This legendary Chicago dj and lynchpin of the juke scene makes his UK debut, bringing with him his unique take on the footwork sound. Widely attributed as one of the founding fathers of juke, Spinn helped make the transition from mid 90’s ghetto house, to a more rugged, up-tempo strain of the genre.
His style encompasses the more off-kilter style of footwork tracks; rapid-fire tom toms, infectiously repetitive lyrics, schizophrenic drum patterns and a hypnotic juxtaposition of energy and space. Alongside DJ Rashad, Spinn has started to push the ‘juktronic’ sound, blending freestyle, ghetto house, juke, jit and techno to devastating effect.

As one of Chicago’s most forward-thinking djs and producers, Chrissy Murderbot has been a champion of juke since the genre’s inception, incorporating it into his multi-genre dj sets all over the world. Well known amongst the junglist fraternity for his early productions on Dead Homies, his more recent output has established Chrissy as a major player in the bass music world, with his blend of 4x4, rave, juke and house smashing up releases on WIDE Records and his own Sleazetone imprint.

A recent addition to the Night Slugs roster, Girl Unit’s debut e.p ‘IRL’ spun heads throughout the scene, incorporating footwork’s pitched 808 toms, tumbling triplets and percussive irregularities, with bending synths and space-age drum patterns.
