Aaron La Crate invented the whole Baltimore B more Gutter Music thing, think Spankrock people, and you’re there. Immense. Next up, you can all put your hands together for Bonde Do Role. Now signed to Domino, they put on an incredible show that’s not to be missed. Studio - Kraut Rocks finest new gunslingers, massive in Europe and here too if there’s any justice. Detroit Grand Pubahs. Made the massive hit ‘Sandwiches’ and now you can ask them how they actually did make them. And why not Riton as well? Yes, yes and thrice yes. There’ll be more balloons as well. And you like the balloons don’t you? We know, we’ve seen the receipts. And of course RadioClit will be making an appearance. You wouldn’t get involved in London’s leading night of fun and dancery and not thrust yourself front and centre now would you. No, no you wouldn’t. Oh and Seb Chew (YoYo) will be doing that thing he does in Room One too.

You’re not so sure about Room One? Well, while we’re slightly offended, might we suggest you examine the bill of fare on offer in the lovely Room Two. Vincent Vincent and the Villains are on you see, and if they don’t make you smile you may want to consult a neurologist. The Villains, they bring the real, proper 50s rock and roll. But being the saucy weasels they are, they fling in a modern twist. It’s going to be busy for these chaps as they get better and better, so get in there early. Fear of Flying, a classic book by Erica Jong and now a cracking young band who have already played with Jamie T and are building a loyal following of their own. We did think about just getting the book in, but it did badly in the audition and there’s only so much entertainment you can get from a man rustling a paperback. And we know you like a DJ, so we’ve got Get Involved DJs and Rum Shaboogie lined up for your delectation. They’ll be playing records and doing that complicated mixing thing. And you’ll be enjoying it. We have spoken.

We’ve extended the whole alliance/association/something else beginning with ‘a’ thing to cover Room Three. So this week the wonder of Room Three is brought to you by Drowned in Sound. They’re old chums of Chalk and we’re not ashamed to say occasional ballroom dancing partners. This week they’ll be bombarding you with a barrage of sweetness and mellifluousness. However, so magnificent are they that if you’re not one of the army of experienced Sounders there is a risk you may actually drown, so I’m afraid we will be asking you to sign a waiver before entering. It’s just a standard contract. Though we may harvest your souls as well. Well there’s a price for everything.
So there you have us. Chalk, we bring you the finest music you’ve ever done heard and we run a little sideline in reaping the souls of the departed. Well no-one’s perfect.
