Dean Dixon and Dave Fernandes are set to take their eclectic disco styles to Loop this Thursday night at Tone, playing along-side Sydney's most lovely purveyor of deep beats Raffi Lovechild and Jordan Deck from the Chemistry fame.
Dixon and Fernandes have hosted a series of underground warehouse events over the past few years, bringing local and international acts to unique venues and pushing a boundary-free music ideal to a city in sore need of it. While their HAHA nights have hosted everything from the deep house of UK producer Glimpse, to the more bass-orientated sounds of Mark Pritchard, the two representatives will digging deeper into their record bags to play some laidback niceties at Tone this Thursday.
We also look forward to Jordan Deck joining us at Loop. In club mode Jordan is the promoter and resident DJ behind successful night chemistry, which has almost been running for almost two years now. Jordan's stlyle incorporates a blend of deep and grove driven deep house and techno. His taste in music come from artists such as Alexkid, Audio Soul Project, Mic Newman, Nicholas Jaar, Lawrence, Sacha Dive and the list goes on. He has played at some of Sydney's prime clubs and events including The Civic, The Bunker, Goodgod small club, Plantation, Killing time (Melb) and Earthdance to name a few.
Raffi is a being of light, soul, love and wonderous deep music...Raffi can be found outdoors at many of the gigs that you only wish you knew about...and only ever hear about. With a record bag that is big enough to fit in enough ska, reggee, dub, minimal, soul, house, funk and various other luciousness.
Loop, a tasteful alternative for Thursday evening recreation ;)
