The Severed Limb (www.myspace.com/theseveredlimb) wowed us when we found them busking in Borough Market; they stole the show when they supported Imelda May. Now they'll blow you away at The Big Ten Inch. The Severed Limb take on rock n roll, ska, cumbia, country, rockabilly and gypsy and give it an authentic homespun sound, evoking the 50's beat of Lonnie Donegan and the jug bands of 1920s Chicago. "The Best Skiffle Band In the World!" Gaz Mayall

THE LEGENDARY DJ DEREK (http://vimeo.com/1758371?pg=embed&sec=1758371)
In the 1950s DJ Derek built a drum kit out of a cheese box and the fabric of a World War II parachute and joined a skiffle band, thus embarking on a musical journey that's now spanned seven decades. Latterly best-known for his festival appearances and cameo in Dizzee Rascal's video 'Dirtee Disco', tonight Derek delves into the sounds that shaped him as a young man, when US Forces Radio blared out the songs of Bessie Smith, Nellie Lutcher, Fats Domino, Ray Charles and Lavern Baker. This will be a very special set - not to be missed!

NATTY BO
www.skacubano.com
London's hippest hepcat, singer and band-leader supreme from Ska Cubano and The Topcats, Gaz's Rockin' Resident DJ and the best dressed chicken in town. Natty spins the best original 10", 78rpm shellac sounds this side of 1957.

COUNT SKYLARKIN

www.skylarkinsoundsystem.co.uk
Red-hot rhythm & blues from Trojan-Records' remixer-du-jour, The Wailers UK tour DJ and Ireland's heaviest baby 1968. Some, all or none of the above may or may not be true.

TROL23
www.discoshed.com
The Hackney Shedonist will be keeping Room 2 in order with some modern classics.
