What can we say? You guys knocked us sideways at our last event…
Class performances from all our guests, and a rammed club kept us grinning from ear to ear all night long. Seeing as though we received such a glowing review from all who attended the evening, we’ve been invited back for a special Christmas knees-up at Public Life.
Now when we say special, we genuinely mean it. We’ve put our heads together and decided that to see the year out, we need to go one step bigger, and this means investing some finance to bring to London a DJ who’s been a cornerstone of House & Techno since the early 90’s. This guy has been involved in nearly every aspect of electronica for longer than I care to mention, and we’re totally made up that we’ve managed to secure him for our last blow-out of 2010. So without further ado, we present to you…….
From impeccably crafted Tech-House on his Artform/Outland imprints, right through to floor-shaking Techno on the likes of Cocoon, NRK, Rekids (trust us, the list goes on…), Jamie has been hammering out top-shelf Dance that consistently sets the standard for producers the world over. He even professes to dabble with groove from time to time, under his Idiotproof alias; something that has seen him work closely with Jesse Rose and the notable Made To Play stable. Truly Jamie’s versatility is what makes the man stand out amongst a veritable ocean of fellow DJs & producers, and we are extremely proud to have him with us to help fly the Kai-Zen banner for our festive shindig.
Joining our headline act will be Sam Russo, from StayinUP. Most of you will remember dancing your arses off, as StayinUP’s leading men Dan Perrin & Jack Michaels worked their magic last time. Well, not to miss out on what’s becoming a rather nice relationship between the two clubnights, they’ve sent Sam to help us fire up the evenings proceedings alongside our usual bunch of rowdy residents.
You’re probably thinking we’re going to impose a huge doortax for all this, but you’d be wrong. £5 is what it cost you last time, and £5 is what it’ll cost you this time (advance ticket – more on the door I’m afraid guys). Bollocks to ripping off our loyal followers, we’d rather be the event that sidesteps the recession issues. Tickets will be available on Resident Advisor at the earlybird £5 price, which will rise to £8 later on, so grab ‘em while they’re cheap!
Doors open at 7pm and we go till…. well… much later ;)
See you on the dancefloor, troops.
