Coming up on Friday 19th November we have a very special Shrug planned. We’re getting together to celebrate who I believe to be one of Australia’s finest DJs, Robbie Lowe. Robbie has been a the go-to DJ for spot on support / warm up spots for a multitude of internationals from deep house artists such as Pezzner, the finest in progressive such as Sasha & Digweed...all the way to big trance acts such as Tiesto. Playing anywhere from thousands of people at festivals all the way to small dark intimate back room gigs....

I remember the first time i ever saw Robbie play back at a Sweetchilli event back in 2006 warming up for Paolo Mojo, whilst t I was a big fan of PM it was Robbie’s skilfully paced warm that really caught my attention....from then on i always made an effort to get to any gigs that Robbie was playing, and if he was on early...I’d be there for the warm up.
Being labelled as “Sydney’s best warm up DJ” could be seen as a bittersweet label to be tag with, but it’s one Robbie wears with modest pride....however as great as he is warming up a room he is an amazing peak time DJ in his own right. With Robbie’s aptitude of being able to set a perfect pace through his sets we’ll be giving him free reign with the music playing from 11.30pm to close.

Always understated, always solid, Robbie’s going to be taking us on a journey starting from his current music influences all the way back to the tunes that he started off playing as a fresh 19 year old in the late 90’s. This is a very special event for a very special DJ and I hope as many of you can come down to support Robbie.
