Lars Behrenroth - born in Germany, relocated to Los Angeles in 2004 - excellent DJ (since 1986), remixer & producer (since 1997) and radio host (since 1996). Lars has moved and grooved crowds in clubs all over the world such as DEEP (LA), Club Five and Red (D.C.), Motorlounge (Detroit), Distillery (Leipzig, Germany), Queens (Paris, France) and many many more.

While in Hamburg, Germany Lars attended audio engineering school where he completed his first remix projects in 1996. That very same year, Lars began co-hosting "House Sound of Hamburg" (HSH) on a local radio station which marks the beginning of an impressive radio career. In 1998 he successfully brought the exclusive mix show to Evosonic Radio, a Europe-wide electronic and dance music radio station. The weekly three-hour house music mix show was a very successful and hosted guest DJs such as Deep Swing, Mateo & Matos, Paul Johnson, and DJ Pierre to name a few. The show went on to syndicate on the New York underground on-line radio station, Streetsound, as well as "CyberRadio & CyberRadio TV", the first German internet-broadcasting station which Lars launched, programmed, managed and along with Constantin Groll hosted the longest house music mix show on the net, "GlobalHouseConnection" (GHC), an 8-hour Saturday night marathon.

His current weekly two hour show, "Deeper Shades of House" can be heard on over 20 radio stations worldwide (fm and online), is available as a free podcast and features brand new music as well as exclusive guest mixes by the likes of Jimpster, Llorca, Christian Prommer, Halo, Trus’me, Brendon Moeller, Lovebirds and many more.

Deeper Shades of House is a showcase of Lars’ versatile but selective musical range; he can play any genre within house music while still keeping it deep. It’s the way he programs his sets and puts the songs together that make him stand apart from the rest.

Lars has developed his production skills over the past 13 years to the point where he has accumulated an impressive discography over a variety of labels including Freerange, Chez Music, Deep4Life, Compost, Percfect Toy, Sonar Kollektiv, Ocha Rec., Liebe*Detail etc. He has also remixed artists such as Atjazz, Kathy Brown, The Rurals, Deep Swing, Dubtribe, MJ Cole, Alma Horton, Slope, Arnold Jarvis, Sven Weisemann, Tamara Wellons among others.

In 2008 Lars Behrenroth launched his own label Deeper Shades Recordings which 15 releases to date put many newcomers on the map like Salvatore Agrosi, Fabio Genito, Soulscience, Peteblas as well featuring producers and remixers like Ezel, Atjazz, DKMA, Jay Tripwire and more.
