On 13th November MIP presents an all-day / all night festival featuring Berlin's most interesting stuff, whatever it looks like and whatever it sounds like, chosen by the cities most interesting characters. Come to Berlin's charismatic Ballhaus Ost theater for a veritable cultural cabaret of art, presentations, Q&As, music, performances, theater, screenings, anything and everything Berlin's Most Interesting People describe as the most interesting thing for them, today. The stage is theirs.
We are splitting the event into a daytime, night time and after party. Turn up at 12 midday on 13th. Get social and inspired by readings, discussions, reading room and gallery. Jazz trio FIFTYTWO hail the night time cabaret featuring the screening of MIP at 19.30, theater, live performance, dance, acoustic music and a unique memory master show where you'll learn something you'll NEVER forget. Midnight signals the after party.
AFTER PARTY UPDATE:::
MIP DJ performances from Club Transmediale / Todaysart Remco Schuurbiers [musical borderline syndrome set], deep house from London Town's DJ Da V'Inci, Live electronic from Stewart Walker, DJ Malloy in the upstairs gallery and Bright Minds' Michael Graudenz polishing off the event till whenever it finally ends.
How do you decide what or who is interesting?
Answer, we don't – they do. MIP's films and festivals are based on a principle that bows its head before randomness, order and autonomy – and sticks two fingers up too.
Each participant has been chosen by the previous, each chooses the next in a self-generative, never ending line guaranteed to take us to a place we do not know yet.
Everyone interviewed by founder Stuart Holt is each given the stage for half an hour to say, do, or show anything they want. From historian to artist to surgeon to singer to poet to politician, ANYTHING WILL HAPPEN.
Join us in celebration of the most interesting of Berlin in 2010.
