Bad Dimension DJs
Bad Dimension returns for another dizzy night of acid-fried psych rock, mutant funk and wide-eyed space disco, starring Brassica performing live and guest DJ Kid Who.
Brassica - seen elsewhere as the non-vocal half of synth-punk marauders Gold Blood - builds warm, bubbling, swirling nocturnal disco from a mixture of analog synths, cracked software, found sounds and borrowed instruments. Recent releases on Dissident and Nocturnes have enchanted with such subtlety and tender attention to detail that the sheer throbbing bodaciousness of his live performance might come as a surprise.
Whether in the studio or between a pair of decks, Kid Who spins a mind-expanding blend of chuggy, druggy cosmic disco. Releases on Mindless Boogie and Rainbow Socks have erupted all over our favourite dancefloors this year. Louis will be joining us to free your mind (and your ass will surely follow) until 2am.*
The Horatia is a beautiful big boozer on Holloway Road with a hefty club soundsystem, recently reopened by the team behind Shoreditch's Horse and Groom. On the last Saturday of every month, DJs collide kosmische disco, mutant funk, punk and psych to create analogue raves of supermassive proportions, powered by propulsive rhythms, motorik beats and tripped-out fuzz from the 60s to present.
*At 2am ALL ASSES AND MINDS WILL BE NAILED TO THE FLOOR.
