We are proud to welcome Sven Vath’s “Cocoon” back to Birmingham. What can we say about the legend that is SVEN VATH. Techno overlord and all round party animal, Sven is arguably the most prominent act in techno on the planet, having played a major part in shaping the underground scene as we know it today.

Sven is a true A list DJ; yet he is one of the very few acts that have managed to gather a massive following without ever selling out and staying true to his roots by supplying the most upfront and forward thinking underground electronic music to the masses. It’s always a pleasure to have papa Sven in the building; his stage presence and aura always generates an electric atmosphere and he plays some of the most exciting electronic music audible to human ears! His last 2 appearance’s in Birmingham have drawn massive crowd's from all over the country not to mention inpromptu set’s at the after parties which people still talk about to this day.

The Cocoon brand encompasses event concepts, a record label, DJ artist management and nightclub ownership all based around Sven’s sonic vision. Anyone who has been to Ibiza in the last 10 years knows that Cocoon at Amnesia is the place to be and we will be bringing some of that Cocoon magic to Birmingham on Boxing Day 2010 with outrageous production, flamboyant dancers and thousands of party animals!
