Mr. Oizo
Ed Banger French-electro sensation hits it hard, watch out SF!
If Daft Punk are the godfathers of both the original filtered French Touch sound and the recent Paris-centric maximalist blog-house scene, then Quentin Dupieux, AKA the elusive Mr. Oizo, is their drunken wife-beating libidinous uncle: You can never tell in what state he is going to show up at the family reunion, and you're not sure you would want to be seen in public with him, but you know the party would definitely not be the same without him!

Boyz IV Men
S.F. trio Boyz IV Men cranks out bass-driven tracks that set the dance floor on fire! Trevor Goosen and Josh Hill met in Sacramento, where they played together in Hella and Scene Index, before moving to San Francisco. Once in the Bay Area, Goosen met Aaron Rodriguez at their shared workplace, Tartine Bakery. Late nights hanging out and early mornings serving coffee led to the realization that the three have similar musical tastes: "French electro, cosmic disco, Italo disco, N.Y. new disco, club." Last year, the boys became Boyz.
