Hawaii's House, Funk, Soul party that brings together music heads, party people and the best dancers in Honolulu, known for it's fresh tunes and feel good vibes will celebrate 3 years at it's new home thirtynine hotel on 3rd Fridays of every month. From it's kick off in 2007 held at Lotus Soundbar, Soulgasm has always been at the forefront of Hawaii's urban dance, music and club culture, helping to build a community and unity among and for dance and music and creating a home for House culture in Hawaii. Presenting both local talent and world renowned guest artists, musicians, vocalists, emcees, dancers and more. SOULGASM is a place that gathers all walks of life to go out and have fun while grooving to feel good music, enjoying a comfortable and energetic vibe, and celebrate life while connecting Hawaii to the global map for House music and dance music culture in the world.

SOULGASM is not only connected to the mainland US via New York where it was spawned but also created bridges to Japan and has had many visitors over the years from all over the mainland US, Canada, Europe and Asia who have sought out SOULGASM when traveling to Hawaii, and in the near future will have siblings in Japan and Amsterdam. It has also featured many special edition parties where the artistic side of this urban culture is heavily presented within the party. Some highlights include "The Suns of James Brown" Hawaii premiere on the big screen with Soul Brothers Kraig E from LA, Live House music concert with grammy award winner Nadirah Shakoor formerly of Arrested Development, Soulgasm X Culture with world renowned dancer Brooklyn Terry and Bobby Mileage of the legendary dance crew Elite Force, DJ DZ from Japan, Poet and Vocalist Oveous Maximus + fashion show with Brooklyn Bomber and Bobby Mileage clothing which has taken the urban dance world by storm. Many of our best local talents and other out of town guests who have also showcased include Vocalist AmenRaw, Poet/Vocalist Bridget Gray, Poets Jocelyn Ng, Sterling Higa, TravisT, artists Angry Woebots, Shaun Castro, Stanstill Movement, 808 Urban, Prime, Starfish Guy, Fine Artist Feijao, Grant and Grim, ArtOne, Vocalist Seph1, Singer Lady Paisley, Dancers, Housing Project 360, Edward Rollins, Capoeira Besouro, CDT, Rivals dance winners, Dancers Unlimited + choreographer Melanie Aguirre (former member of the legendary House of Ninja/Hous3/NYC), and of course our very own DJ FLX who transplanted to Chicago and won the Best of 2009 Chicago House music awards for Breakthrough DJ of the Year and the many DJs who held it down and guested, Eugene(Nitelite), Mike (Haboh), Kentaro,101, Slant, Kevin Xhift, Sleepless, Zane, Marlon, SubZero, Fame, BumbleBee, Min One, Jim Browskee, AC Lewis (Formerly of Sun Tzu Sound/Seattle), Revise, Mr. Nick, Yuji, Matt Kee, Monkey, Mimi (Lady Lush/SD), Hugh and more. SOULGASM also hosted the first House Dance contest in Hawaii(House Dance Hawaii) and recently held the second annual HDH + teamed up with Lotus for the Rivals 5 week dance contest series combining street dance and club dance styles and culture in one and so much more.

This November, they will feature International DJ and producer Marques Wyatt who is known to be influential messenger of the deepest most soulful kind. Beneath his relaxed, spiritual and unknowingly suave persona lies a man partially for the birth of West coast House scene by bringing the fresh sounds of New York (Frankie Knuckles, Tony Humphries, Larry Levan) to LA in the mid 80's and has continue to bring the best in the industry. Over the years promoting and playing an enourmous amount of parties including BBC, Brass, MAC's Garage, Does Your Mama Know, and currently LA's biggest House club DEEP. He has changed the face of Southern California's nightclubbing and presentation of it's music, sound and scene. Since 1998 he has been hosting the most respectable party DEEP LA. Deep is nothing short of a phenomenon in the dance world in LA and beyond. Today Deep stands as a sanctuary of sound, dance and good times.

It makes perfect sense that SOULGASM the most respected dance culture party in Hawaii along with Lotus Downtown who has brought down such legendary names including Marques Wyatt, Louie Vega, Tony Humphries, Kevin Hedge, Quentin Harris and so much more to come together to feature such a respected DJ and community builder Marques Wyatt for the 3 years of SOULGASM in Hawaii, which could also be said as a celebration and testament to a growing dance music community and urban culture in Hawaii.
