If you’ve ever hung out at Guern’s before or are at least on our mail out list to be spammed about how much we love to party, please note on New Years Eve we welcome a very special International guest to play music to drag you and your friends into the New Year, Tensnake. Forget needing to wallow in the feverish dust of a dance circle of muscle men at some overpriced festival to engage partying to such an in-demand hyped artist, yet Tensnake will be playing a very special live show here in our sleepy hollow of a dance floor. A bunch of remix’s for names such as Foals, Goldfrapp and the Faint along with a string of memorable EP’s that include this January’s dope Coma Cat have cemented this guy as being a special artist to get into now. Shock jock Tim Sweeney loves him so much his Beats In Space Records has a Tensnake 12” as its inaugural release, and if you know of Tim then you know he’s sure on the pulse lately. Maybe it seems a little idiosyncratic for all of us here at Guernica to be so welcoming to the soundtrack to sculling Piña Colada’s on a sunny beach into our misty treacherous backwoods of a club, but that’s the point,our New Years Eve party with Tensnake’s going to twist everyone out for being so wrong it’s right.
