Elevation Events is proud to invite you to an evening with one of the world’s leading trance producer / Dj’s, travelling from Russia to present us with his amazing music, Arty. Having produced such tracks as “Vanilla Sky”, “Hope”, “The Wonder”, “Rush”, and “Twilight Tonight”, Arty continues on his path to becoming one of the most listened to trance producers around the world.
Hosted by the recently renovated Ric’s Bar, with a new state of the art sound system, Arty promises to fill the venue with atmosphere whether it be on the dancefloor or on the open balcony as we enjoy the cool Summer breeze. With support from Brisbane’s very own elite producers / Djs, Scott Walker, Rich Curtis, and Jer, and on debut one of Brisbane’s finest upcoming Dj’s Jonanthan Robinson, this will be an evening that will leave everyone wishing for more.

Australia has produced its fair share of quality DJs over the years, but few could claim to have the all-round respect of the entire dance music community that Scott Walker has on his side. Walker’s reputation has been built over ten years behind the decks, and in part due to his knowledge and support of dance music and its history. He is one of a rare breed of DJ’s that has been able to master and play out a number of genres throughout his career. Walker’s early days saw him push the 90’s trance sounds, the turn-of-the-century saw him dive into the deeper side of progressive house and tribal, whilst at the same time laying down nu-school breaks around town as an original member of the Vinyl Slingers. All the while he had been indulging a long love affair with all things house and techno - which is where his focus now currently lays. This rich history is what makes Walker such a versatile and dynamic DJ today.
There are few underground DJ/producers in Brisbane with as good an ear for big tunes as Rich Curtis. An honours graduate from the university of epic progressive house as taught by Professors Sasha, Digweed and Cattaneo, Rich has become one of the Queensland capitals most valuable closing slamfest DJs with a relentless approach to his DJ sets; sets built on a foundation of chugging bottom end and rolling percussion but with enough sprinklings of melody to keep music fans shoulder to shoulder with dancefloor junkies in front of him whenever he spins.
In mid-2010 Rich turned his attention to production and in the space of 3 weeks churned out his first batch of underground prog-tech/tech-house tunes, several of which caught the ear of Replug Records' label boss Cid Inc (ex Mashtronic) who is slated to sign and remix some of Rich's productions later in 2010!
Combine his increasingly busy DJ/production schedule with a monthly show "Resolutions" on insomniafm.com and guest appearances on JJJ and 4ZzZ radio and you get to understand why Rich Curtis has become such a valuable player on this local scene. His lifelong mission to bring the music is bearing fruit, and his studies at the school of prog are all but complete.
With an intense love of music, starting at a young and impressionable age, it’s easy to see why Jer smiles ear to ear when his tunes drop. A pure and unmovable love of trance and all things dance has been the driving force behind Jer and where he has accomplished to date, with no sign of letting up.A DJ whose skills range from Trance to Electro, evening filtering into Psy and Hard Dance, he brings that steadfast passion every step of the way and has truly earnt the title of “the Storyteller”. Known to capture a crowd like only few can, his sets are filled with emotion, energetic and melodic tunes sure to satisfy the hungry dancefloor maniac in all of us. Jer’s powerful and deeply ingrained passion for dance music can be seen every time he performs, from the house party that epitomises his beginning to a packed crowd at a nightclub. And as the story he tell unfolds, it’s always a night to remember…
