Some people moan on about New Years Eve parties being crap nowadays. They clearly were not at the locked out Micron NYE party last year... Once again the residents rock the JB basement at the party they built and we have Folk hosting the bar. Oh yeah and it’s seven quid in – Go Compare! Aye, and keep hold of yer ticket for free entry to our January party.
Micron has always ...been about the residents. We believe it’s the best way to build a loyal and passionate following and ultimately throw consistently brilliant parties with their own personalities. Seems to have worked for us as our residents have had several winning and featured mixes in DJ Mag and I-DJ Magazine competitions, they have been awarded ‘Manchester Key DJ’ status (DJ Mag), and Micron has twice been nominated as DJ Mag Best Small British Club. On the road we have smashed a load of parties up in the UK, Amsterdam and of course Russia. In a nutshell, you’re in pretty safe hands. Last year was absolute mayhem, so get your tickets before they’re all gone!
Our friends from award winning Folk Café Bar are getting ready to serve up slices of sultry Balearic, disco, reggae, jazz or owt that seems right at the time. These boys run the coolest café in town as well as some rather fun parties when Ibiza is in full effect. And seeing as they know how to create an atmosphere, they’re bringing their own decor to transform the JB bar. Joining the Folk folk will be Dan English (Naïve Melody) and Garth Be (Prime Numbers). Dan’s Naïve Melody project (RIP) was for years one of the most influential parties in Manchester, attracting an incredible rosta of international megastars and quirky curveball bookings that stood out against anything else at the time. The man like Garth Be has to be one of the most talented local producers around. Get your ears round this and you’ll know why! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FDsFq9b2NfE

Have a go on these to see what we mean! http://soundcloud.com/evanswaterfall

Some handy logistics:
If you can show us your tickets on your iPhones or similar, please feel free to do so and don’t worry your sweet little heads about printing them out... Just don't delete them before the January party init!
Drinks prices will NOT be hiked! What with our low entry tax, this will definitely be the best value for money night you can have and it’s gonna go right off!
The bar will open at 8pm and the basement at 10pm.
If tickets sell out (quite likely as they did last year), there will be no cash entry on the door!
