The UK bass label Infrasonics presents special guest Altered Natives at its East London warehouse rave. The bruk step don and twisted house master joins label boss spatial and the Infrasonics artists XXXY, Gon and Jamie Grind plus friendly support given by Wifey DJs.
The next in our irregular series of parties sees us returning to our spiritual home in E2. The first warehouse rave was the talk of the town last year with a serious sound system in an intimate, darkened space. Pure vibes, the real deal.
Our guest for this occasion is Altered Natives, bruk step don and twisted house master. His sound fuses UK bass with broken rhythms and straight up grooves to maximum dancefloor effect. His Tenement Yard album & 3024 release were extremely well received ensuring heavy rotation from the likes of Kode 9, Martyn et al.
XXXY’s velocity shows no sign a deceleration with a string of important releases and appearances this year, including a track on Mount Kimbie’s XLRR podcast. His Infrasonics release was charted by FACT and other seminal wax coming on the likes of Fortified, 2nd Drop, Ten Thousand Yen and more. He’ll go back-to-back with label boss spatial who’s fresh back from a mammoth 3 hour set at Unsound in Poland and just released infra004 to wide critical acclaim.
If you’ve been to a party in the Hackney area of late that fed you a cutting edge cross section of UK vibes it’s highly likely that the Wifey DJs put it on or played the event. They’re family and we welcome them back: they’re party starters.
Jamie Grind and Gon turned heads with infra12003 and both artists are now embarking on heighten trajectory in the UK underground. Jamie is set to drop an EP on Fortified soon and recently started the Modulate night in Leeds. Years spent behind the counter of the now sadly defunct Freebird records in Dublin ensures Gon is selecta par excellence. He’s also producing a string of UK Funky / House smashers with dubs getting played by MA1 on Rinse and a host of others.
