December 3rd sees Bigfoot’s turn two. To celebrate our second anniversary we've decided to explore some of the concepts that have inspired us over the last 24 months. We invite you down into Offshore Basement on Gibson Street to take a peak and kick start festivities before heading onto the Art School where Ambivalent will tear the house down.
The pre-party will be split into two sections - INSTALL and CELEBRATION. Both will provide an individual experience while ensuring a fusion of audio - visual delight.
This will be FREE ENTRY all day and BRING YOUR OWN BOTTLE. After 8pm the party is for Ambivalent ticket holders only, door staff will be checking and stamping. If you remember our launderette parties last birthday, its advised you get down early.
:: SECTION ONE :: INSTALL ::
In the cavernous basement of Offshore, Bigfoot’s induces you to take part in a multimedia interactive art project. Against a backdrop of communication we explore electronic music construction through transferable themes such as copy and paste, cause and effect, looping and repetition.
Blending several concepts together that the electronic community experiences including perception alteration and multimedia environments, the final result shall be whatever is in the room by 8pm - from televisions to lights and speakers to sculpture.
N.B. Part of the installation involves volunteers downloading specified files to make an individual section for the art piece. The idea is that you can do whatever you want to your own section, paint it, fix something to it, write inside it and then attach it to the project when you arrive at Offshore. Should you not have access to a printer we will have several tools which can be used to create a section on offer throughout the 3rd December.
FREE birthday cake and complimentary jellies for the gullet and hand picked DJ mixes from the Bigfoot crew all afternoon. Drop in, kick about, stick it to the wall.
