As the year draws to a close, Together are proud to present UK Heavyweights, Souled for our last party of 2010.

Souled are Ben Tidy and Adam Cook DJs, Producers and Joint owners of the Fresh Minute Music label and Chalkhill studios. The Souled duo has been in the making since they first met when they were 15 in a drunken brawl in Watford. Their love for bare knuckle fighting and good honest music was the start of this 12 year long beautiful relationship. At the time one was buying and playing House and Garage and the other Drum n Bass and Hip Hop. Over the years their respective angles on dance music has influenced each other and now they meet nicely in the middle somewhere!! They are the bastard sons of a thousand beats. Disco to house to detroit techno to broken to afro beat to Soul to Uk Funky to Hip Hop to Dub Step, “if the shoe fits,” they’ll put it on a turntable and try and play it.

Souled have smashed the dancefloors up with there interesting blend of honest dancefloor gems at some of the UKs leading clubs including Ministry of Sound, Fabric, The Southport Soul Weekender and have played as far and wide as Edinburgh, Mainland Europe and New York alongside some Musical heavyweights including Phil Asher, Domu, Patrick Forge, Karizma, Deetron, Reel People, Spiritual South, Bugz in the Attic, 4 Hero, Kev beadle, Yam Who, Gilles Petereson, Kyle Hall, Louie Vega, Joey Negro and Benji B.

After their first release on their own label Fresh Minute Music introduced the pair to the underground dance scene with a bang their A&R skills which basically comprises of signing tracks they like the label has not looked back with heavy weight releases from Altered Natives, Kay Suzuki, Fatima, Soul Renegades, Sam Irl, and Stratasoul and remixes from the likes of Zed Bias. This has seen support for the label from Radio 1s Annie Mac, Gilles Peterson, Rod da Bank and Toddla T and plays on Kiss 100, 1 Xtra and Galaxy as well as where it really matters on the worlds dancefloors from heavy weight DJs Benji B, Karizma, Martyn, Floating Points, Joy Orbison, Kyle Hall, Kode 9, Louie Vega, Osunlade, Recloose and Rainer Truby. The tracks have also landed on Fabric, Ministyr of Sound and Soul Jazz Compilations and have been licenced to America, SOuth Africa and Japan. Not too bad in 18 Months for a new label.

As a production outfit Souled have had releases and remixes out on Unique uncut, Broadcite, NYC Soul, Fresh Minute Music, Development, More about music, SSV, and have got brand new material coming on New York’s Sole Channel and King Street labels.
