Mount Kimbie (live)
Future Classic DJs
Over the last two years Mount Kimbie have become one of bass music's most important and influencial acts. It all began with their 2 releases on Scuba's Hotflush Recordings 'Sketch on Glass' and 'Maybes', the sounds we're described "less like listening to music and more like eavesdropping on the machinations of a lone mind".
Their debut album 'Crooks and Lovers' floats through dubstep and hip-hop, jazz, techno and ambient, post-rock, UK garage and film scores and is one of the most impressive and forward thinging albums of 2010. Critics were impressed. iDJ Magazine called it “a triumph in experimental music” awarding it 10/10, Vice Magazine gave it 10/10 saying it “stands out as something genuinely special" while The Sun says “the album glows with a personality that elevates it over its peers” awarding it 5/5.
Supported by always awesome Sydney band Seekae and residents the Future Classic DJs.
