Fri, 06 May 2011Was it on the top floor, I wonder?

Sat, 12 Mar 2011we deliberately went for a more balanced sound. I personally think too many clubs set their systems up to be top and bottom heavy - mainly for 'bass' music such as dubstep, garage, drum n bass.
with techno - you lose the detail if the mids are dipped to make way for too much sub. hence the reviewer noticed the clarity and others commented on it too.
a lot of techno doesn't really have much sub - Strings of Life doesn't even have a bassline! ;-)
glad you enjoyed the vibe in general - can't... More

Fri, 11 Mar 2011I was pretty happy to find out that this was 2 blocks from my home! Nice spot!

I must say though, that I felt that the system was lacking a bit of oomph. I came away from Slater's set with the solid word 'WOODEN' in my mind. That sub-bass that should have been there just wasn't. Yes the mids and highs were there, but without tummy rumbling earth shaking lows when they're needed it felt empty.

Looking forward to Rolando next time round though.

Sun, 27 Feb 2011I'm so gutted! Lack of funds means that I missed yet another fantastic event. I hope you guys recorded the sets, for us to immerse ourselves into. Fantastic work guys ... come to Manchester .... please!
