On January 22, 2010, VOLATL Events and Klectik proudly welcome Taimur and Fahad, of the acclaimed BLK|Market Membership events for their Chicago debut. Co-headlining the night will be Hello?Repeat artist Kate Simko, who will be delivering a DJ set of her internationally acclaimed hypnotic grooves. Klectik Recordings artists Jason Patrick and Max Jacobson are to open the night. Pre-Sale tickets for this mid-winter warm-up will be available on ResidentAdvisor.net.

Over the past Four and a half years, Taimur & Fahad have built BLK|Market Membership into the most critically influential series of techno events in the U.S. Be it opening / closing their events, playing back2back sets with their guests or just laying it down at the afterhours, Taimur & Fahad have had the opportunity to be heard and have earned the respect of many across the worldwide dance music scene. Recently they have also started their Blkmarket Membership residency at District 36 and are also rotating residents on Friday's techno nights programming at the club. The duos bold, confident tastes keep people coming back for more and Chicago will be no exception.

Chicago-born producer and DJ Kate Simko is certainly a treasure of Chicago’s electronic music community and co-resident for the event series. A core artist on the Spectral Sound label, Kate has also released music on Ghostly, Eklo, and is set to debut her first full-length solo album on Berlin-based Hello? Repeat in April 2011. Kate’s music occupies a creative space between house and techno with a personal style that sets it apart. She has played London’s Fabric, Berlin’s Berghain, Sunday School for Degenerates in New York, Winter Music Conference in Miami, MUTEK, DEMF, and more.

Chicago’s Jason Patrick, formerly of Detroit, will kick the night off with his unsurpassed blend of techno, house and tech house. Jason runs his imprint, Klectik Recordings. Klectik has featured a mix of up and coming talents such as Max Jacobson and Christina Chatfield and world-renowned artists such as Camea and Kate Simko. TimeOut Chicago has referred to Patrick as one of the “most technical techno DJs in Chicago.” A sound DJ for 10 years now, Patrick has played recent gigs in Berlin, San Francisco, Resolute Detroit, and Bar13 in New York.

Detroit transplant Max Jacobson has quickly risen to the forefront in the Chicago electronic music scene. As a DJ, Max has been featured at many of the top clubs in the city and produced several successful underground events featuring DJs such as Omar S and Mathias Tanzmann. Max is beginning to make a name for himself as a producer with releases on Shufflemood and Klectik.
