LAVO New York will be hosting two of the city's hottest parties on New Year's Eve 2011, one in the nightclub, and one in the restaurant above, catering to both the gourmand and discerning nightlife devotee.
On LAVO's renowned dance floor, Drek Martinez will provide the party's soundtrack. Born in the South of France, Drek first began training himself on the turntables 15 years ago, starting with hip-hop beats. Now, he’s spun at the most exclusive hot spots in Paris, London, Milan, San Paulo, Los Angeles, New York and more, mixing many musical influences and using his special talent for working off the vibe of the crowd. Influenced by the likes of DJ AM and Mark Ronson, Martinez spins with A-Trak, Timbaland, Kanye West, Snoop Dogg, Kid Cudi and co. He has also remixed tracks by MIA, The Game feat. Justin Timberlake and Pharell, Chester French, and many more.
Tickets for the nightclub start at $175 dollars per person, and include a five hour open bar from 9pm - 2am. In addition, heavily passed hors d'ouevres will be provided from 9 - 11pm, including tuna tartare, Kobe carpaccio, Bruscetta, pizza, Kobe meatball sliders, wild mushroom rice balls, crispy chicken Fra Diavalo, and other such fineries as you would expect from such an establishment.
Upstairs in the restaurant, LAVO will provide three different seating times. The first two, at 6:00 & 8:00pm, will be serving from the restaurant's menu a la carte. The 10:00pm seating will include a special pre-fixe menu and midnight champagne toast. Guests may order as much food as they wish, selected from a list of LAVO's "greatest hit" menu items. Musical stylings will be provided by Steve Powers.
