So, you thought the lineup was already heavyweight material… now prepare for an ee-education!

On May 29th eastern electrics presents NINE HOURS of supersonic superheroics from Bloc, Deviation and mulletover – with a lineup that’ll knock your socks off!

This May eastern electrics brings you a rock solid roster of artists for their bank holiday Sunday marathon. As if DJ Koze, James Holden, Martyn, Loefah and Braiden weren’t enough, the eastern electrics boys are firing on all cylinders with this one, adding Actress, Virgo Four, The Bug, Lone and Clive Henry to the already veritable mix.

eastern electrics deserves its status as one of London’s don’t-miss events, delivering unrivalled lineups and unmissable events three times a year. Their focus is on bringing together some of the finest emerging talent in electronic music – and making one hell of a noise. And helping them make this May 29th event noisier than ever are…

Having just turned seven, mulletover is the night that just keeps on giving. This May, Room 1 hosts a wide-ranging, ambient four-hour marathon set from Hamburg genre-splitting DJ Koze and a set from Circo Loco resident and rabble-rouser Clive Henry, all wrapped up with a set from mulletover man Geddes.

Bloc tore the festival season a new pone with its biggest ever event in March – and now the Bloc-ers are proving they can keep on keeping on with a powerful lineup in Room 2. In-demand super-producer James Holden is joined by The Bug – Kevin Martin’s bass badman alter-ego offering a lesson in dub history. Forward-thinking dubstepper Martyn brings some atmosphere to the evening’s proceedings, and one-to-watch warped-out wunderkind Lone – Matt Cutler to his mates – completes this enormous thumper of a lineup in the second room.

Aaaaaand newcomers to eastern electrics Benji B’s Deviation are jumping in at the deep end of bass, presenting a mammoth roster, with commanding experimentalist producer and DJ Actress, Chicago house legends Virgo Four, innovative undergrounder-coming-up Loefah, genre-jumping Braiden and 1Xtra’s tastemaker – and Deviation daddy – Benji B & MC Judah in Room 3.

eastern electrics is always a night to remember. Grab your £18 Saver ticket while they last.
May 29th – just be there!

Sun, 12 Jun 2011I attended primarily to see one of my favourite DJ's, James Holden, and i have to say i was completely disappointed. I complained to a member of staff on 2 occasions about the sound quality, to which i was told there was nothing that could be done as they had been told to turn it down. I have never experienced such poor sound in all the years i have been out, especially not at an event of this scale. It was so bad that i only stayed in the bloc room for 20minutes or so as i couldnt hear the... More

Sun, 12 Jun 2011Big thank you to everyone who played, worked and to all of you that attended the last Eastern Electrics. Apologies for some of the issues with the soundsystem in Bloc room. This was actually the biggest system we have ever put in that arch, but it just didn't work as well as the previous outings. You can rest assured that we will be changing things for the August show, which will be our final show at Great Suffolk Street for a while as we are working on some new concepts for NYE and next year...

Fri, 10 Jun 2011100% agree on the post-Bug soundsystem...not sure what happened there...BTW, not a mention of the Bug? I thought he rocked the place - Martyn was as good as I've ever heard him too.

Crowd was sound in the Bloc room....
