Argyll Street’s infamous nightclub Movida takes on a new Wednesday night concept in the shape of ‘Vulgar Disco’. Bringing the West End a touch of the East End underground, Movida’s state of the art sound system and LED illuminated dance floor host a chic house techno night. Every week, ‘Vulgar Disco’ is here to showcase one of the electronic music scene’s highly regarded headliners as well as rising and local talents who have made a serious impact on the scene.

East London’s reputation for holding some of the city’s most exciting and innovative electronic dj’s, producers and live acts couldn’t be more spot on. Upbeat bass lines, intricate techno samples and the deep warmth of Chicago and Detroit house music have dominated the East’s warehouse and basement spaces over recent years. ‘Vulgar Disco’ brings the same innovation within the sophisticated surroundings of Movida’s first class layout. Sticking firmly to its East roots with an informal dress code , ‘Vulgar Disco’ is the fusion of shabby meets chic that the West End has been missing.
