Happy New Year folks!
Following our trip up to Leeds for our shindig at the legendary Stinky’s Peephouse, we’re back on home turf in Shoreditch and can’t wait to get stuck into some more red light misbehaviour.
This time our underground hide out comes in the form of 6ft Anda, a perfectly suited, intimate basement with an extended licence that will see us frolicking well into the night.
We’re excited to be joined for this fourth encounter by Leftside Wobble, an artist that has caught our eye over the last 12 months with his super-duper edits of a diverse range of artists, including Esther Philips, The Beatles and Curtis Mayfield. He’s so far achieved a staggering quarter of a million plays on Soundcloud, and his mix of Master C & J's 'Face It' is the second most popular deep house track of all time on there too.
He has become established for his genre hopping DJ sets, mixes and edits, which join the dots between dub, funk, disco and house – just the way we like it.
Deservingly, he has attracted the attention and support of industry heavyweights such as Luke Unabomber, Chris Duckenfield, Greg Wilson, Mr Scruff and Rob Da Bank, so we’re right chuffed that he’s coming to play us some records.
As ever, trusty resident Ben Clifford will be on warm up and closing time DJ duties, and is fresh from being crowned (*ahem*) ‘East London DJ Champion’ at the Dalston competition he chanced his arm at back in October. If you haven’t had a listen already, check out the mix he recorded to celebrate - http://soundcloud.com/stereo-sleaze/jam-the-dance-competition-winners-mix
Dust off your dancing shoes and join us for our next debauched adventure into the disco underground.
