Kiss Me Again with Jitterbug photo gallery
Holla. Thanks to everyone that ended 2010 with us (in both London and Oxford), and now we are back to open 2011's programming with JITTERBUG. Some of us experienced him for the first time at Freerotation in 2009, others with his first record in a Parisian record shop for €2, while still others checked him supporting Boo Williams and Efdemin a few months back. Regardless, what we can all agree on is that he makes and plays some very good records - "the perfect house party DJ" as one of our number described him. Expect the usual hospitality from Life (bangin' soundsystem, equally bangin' cocktails), and we hope you can join us. House house your body!
According to Wikipedia: "[t]he term jitterbug [...] became associated with swing dancers who danced without any control or knowledge of the dance." We are expecting similarly unhinged reactions will greet Jitterbug when he hits the decks. Mr Jitterbug (no first names please) has released two extremely well received records for London's finest house imprint Uzuri, as well as DJ slots at Südelectronic parties, Freerotation festival in Wales, and Berlin's Tape Club. He also contributes occasionally to well known blog Infinite State Machine, and you can check a mix for said website which exhibit proudly his love for Chicago and Detroit sounds below.
