Dave Shades, Data Rape, McGarvatron, Tommy
Neil Landstrumm is one of the most pioneering producers around and has been since the early ’90s through his production on a plethora of seminal labels such as Peacefrog, Tresor, Sativae, Mosquito, Neue Heimat, Planet Mu, his own Scandinavia imprint and his involvement in the scene-defining nights Sativa (Edinburgh) and Test (Glasgow).
With influences ranging from Sheffield bleep and bass, early Chicago house and techno to rave and ragga, Neil has always been at the forefront of the scene. He was one of the most important people in the creation and shaping of the wonky techno sound and his constantly evolving musical styles have shown him to be one of the most forward-thinking artists around, highly evident in his take on dubstep, his self-styled ravestep which has seen him release three groundbreaking albums on Planet Mu in recent years.
He has collaborated with several well known artists, most notably with Tobias Schmidt as Sugar Experiment Station and Cristian Vogel as Blue Arsed Fly.
A world-renowned live performer, Neil’s sets are mindblowing and he never fails to impress. Expect to hear a mixture of his new material and his classic techno.
As Full Phat he rocked countless clubs with his varied take on house music, both as a DJ and as an accomplished live performer. Releasing on Bad Advice, Flatpack Traxx and On The Brink, he built up a steady fanbase which included none other than Derrick Carter.
His new project, DATA RAPE, sets free his deeper, darker, nastier side - from deep, melodic techno and electro to heavy, deranged wonk.
His debut Data Rape live set in August transformed the dancefloor in La Cheetah into a total sweatbox and his recent productions have caught the attention of Pest Control Records.
