Picking up where we left off at our favourite lofi basement hang out, the Cellar Bar, with some exciting raw talents from near and far
INKO (stereoptico / NO)
Straight outta the Domenic Republic and from the Stereoptico imprint, we are anticipating an explosive and energetic live set from Norwegian based beats talent INKO.With several members of the label having been represented at RBMA in recent years, his crew demonstrate real pedigree. INKO's sound takes in the darkness of his current Nordic abode, post punk zaps from his NYC days and the ay carumba bootie moving drum patterns of his DR roots - all in all these influences combine to make his raw and developing sound a unique voice in the instrumental beats field.
STUDIO CEE (UK)
Home grown talent of growing repute, Studio Cee is Campbell Montgomery - an Ayr based beatmaker who has been honing his artform in a way Dilla would be proud. When not out working, this guy seems forever to be at the beatmaking table - developing and adding subtle and in depth layers to each new track. Fans of instrumental hip-hop, early Prefuse 73 and Dabrye works will for sure find golden moments in his beats.
djs URAKI RIDDIM, KID BELL & WHITE CHOCOLATE
skweee, beats, 2step, slomo house, funk, soul, hip hop and all on wax - three of Aberdeen's most eclectic and deep digging home grown jocks.
