After our packed out party in October we take great pleasure in announcing our return to The Rhythm Factory on Saturday the 12th of February. We hope you have had a great Christmas break and are ready to kick start 2011 with us.
Following on from out last party with SKUDGE and KABUTO & KOJI – we are flying over Canadian Techno man ADAM MARSHALL to headline. It would be fair to say that Adam is way ahead of his time. His music shows intelligence and depth that surpasses the current techno scene. You just have to listen to tracks such as ‘Burn it down’ to appreciate just how advanced and cutting edge this guy is. Its clever techno with Attitude! Besides producing Adam is known for being a self confessed Vinylist and an amazing all round DJ. He remains fluent and cohesive at both whilst running his dynamic ‘NEW KANADA’ record label. Last year alone he remixed for the likes of SETH TROXLER & his music appeared on Radioslave’s REKIDS and CYNOSURE. You can expect a powerful 2 hour set from Adam on the night through a darker and moodier side to Mode:play - where he will take us up and down and through area’s of the unknown.
To support – we are bringing in some close friends and family to play on the night:
First up, Antony Difrancesco. Those of you at our last party will remember the truly incredible warm up set that Antony played alongside Lee Hume. He has fast become a prominent figure in London channelling his passion for music through the LOST SOULS brand and his infamous FOUND after party. Ant’s technical DJ sets have landed him a solid residency at Fabric alongside guest spots at all of the hottest Underground raves. From ‘Fuse’ in East London to after parties in Birmingham; where he has warmed up for LOCO DICE & DUBFIRE.
Ant will be gracing the decks ‘back to back’ with Resident RYAN STYLUS. Ryan has gained much credibility for his DJ sets throughout 2010. A young 22 year old with a certain maturity to his sound that distinguishes him from the rest. His rolling ‘journey like’ sets encapsulate deep and hypnotic tones that are embedded in House, Techno and everything in between. His passion for raw dance-floor music is filled with energy and emotion; bringing a unique feeling to the dance floor. He has built a career based purely on ‘word of mouth’ promotion - earning him gigs at Underground nights all over London & as far beyond as Germany.
We are hyped also to confirm that warming things up on the night with an extended set will be resident DAN LIVELY, NICE GUY EDDIE and SAMUEL BELLISIMO or otherwise the DEEP END SOUNDSYSTEM. It’s been a long time since they have all been on the bill together here and they have each come a long way since those memorable Sunday sessions we first began with in our basement. It was the special music and the bond between these 3 DJ’s that really flourished at Mode:Play. Over the past year they have gone on to achieve great things such as guest spots at ‘WET YOURSELF’, the awesome ‘HYBRID LIFE’ parties and not forgetting the huge ‘DESOLAT vs SCI TEK’ event with MARCO CAROLA. This will be their first performance as the D.E.S. trio here so they will be digging deep for this party & exploring their diverse musical palette.
