Norm De Plume
The Michel Berger Hotel is a hotel that stems from the creative minds of a group of friends. They collaborated and conjured up the idea of a budget hotel that feels more like you're staying in the guest room of your best buds house. They want their hotel to be fun, rebellious, and an anything goes mentality- much like Berlin itself.
Dinner in the restaurant at 8pm (€25 - booking required.) Live music in the bar/lobby from Tochotronic & 1000 Robota from 10pm.
Norm De Plume's Disco Lounge 12:30pm (Approx) - 3:00am
Norm De Plume has been working in the industry and playing Deep/Disco House in London since the turn of the millennium. He cites his biggest influences as Ron Hardy, Studio 45 and Sound Stream. He currently works for Delusions Of Grandeur and hosts their monthly podcast. In 2010 he launched his own edits imprint "Plumage" with PLUMAGE01 receiving support from: DJ Harri, The Revenge, Tornado Wallace, Mic Newman, The Dead Rose Music Company and Cottam (amongst many others). This was closely followed by a superb remix of Tornado Wallace's "Alway's Twirling" for Delusions Of Grandeur (DOG13). A forthcoming 12” on the excellent (vinyl only) Kolour Limited series is expected in 2011.
In addition to his studio productions Norm is currently hosting his own bimonthly party: “Wayward” is a deep-disco-beat-down that has taken up residence at London’s City Arts & Music Project (The CAMP). So far guests have included Matt Masters (Freerange) & The Dead Rose Music Company (Wolf Music/House Is The Cure/Kolour Ltd).
Much like the music that can be heard on his podcast, in a live situation Norm brings together slo-mo disco edits & deep mid-tempo house vibes through to pacier, more electronic underground house. Expect to hear plenty of original disco 12s along the way from the classic to the obscure and of course some up-front , pre-release DOG nuggets!
THIS EVENT WILL BE STRICTLY GUEST LIST ONLY - Please email: email@example.com for guest list.
