Bloc Party's front man - KELE presents his solo project on Sat 26th Feb 2011 for Ec-lectricity. His last album "The Boxer" took the electronic world by storm in 2010 with wide appeal into the Indie and Dance fraternity. His biggest hit "Tenderoni" had a huge crossover into the electro scene. From his Bloc Party roots, Kele is a unique talent and his new solo live show has been taking festivals and major events by storm throughout 2010. Expect big things from him in 2011.
Genre-hopping and rapidly rising UK producer/DJ talent, DOORLY joins Kele in the main room. Presiding over an electronic melting pot of techno, electro, Future Garage, drum'n'bass and dubstep doused with hip-hop and splashes of indie; Doorly's movement behind the decks is relentless on a set up that would make even Zabiela blush (3 CDJs, 2 1210s, EFX unit and Pioneer 800 to be precise). When he says he’s DJing live, he means it. Expect the unexpected as it’s all about the party with Doorly.
FACTORY FLOOR's analogue electronic live show bolsters up the main room bill. Soon after they formed in 2008, London’s enigmatic trio Factory Floor garnered comparisons to post-punk and industrial greats like Joy Division and Throbbing Gristle. This will be their Birmingham debut.
HUDSON MOHAWKE takes over the Temple providing the deeper, more intelligent end of bass heavy sounds for SHED. Blending Dubstep, Techno, Hip Hop and Broken Beat elements he has carved out a name for himself in the dance world with a series of stunning sets and hot remixes. If you are into the likes of Joy Orbison, Jamie XX, Martyn, Ramadanman you're in for a treat!
Super Earlybirds priced at just £10. Kele's last show in Birmingham sold out in advance so don't leave it too long.
