Beloved duo ADULT. return, a group that, according to Playboy, "refuses to mellow." They will be supporting their third full length, Why Bother?, issued by the Thrill Jockey imprint in March. While Bother continues to espouse a now characteristic bleakness, the album does move in a number of new directions using a deconstructed sound that is satisfyingly vital. Four albums in, it seems as though PARTS & LABOR are fully in stride. Their latest offering, Mapmaker, is an amalgamation of efforts past that somehow manages to sound thoroughly new. Left coast dance rock ensemble TUSSLE open. The group have several twelves to their credit, and have just issued their second full length, Telescopic Mind, for the tasteful Smalltown Supersound label.
