Last year Brightons Big Beat Re-Union returned to our clubs and showed just what an amazing party they create and this has been recognised as they are up for Best Big Event at this years Breakspoll. They continue to move forward in 2011 with a line up that will deliver a taste of the atmosphere of past times, while packing a serious punch of new beats, breaks and bass for todays clubland.

Now into a new year and the party moves forward with another stella line up of live performance and DJs over two rooms.

In the Live Room, alongside BBR head honcho Cut La Roc are Dub Pistols who will perform live, Micky Finn, Elite Force (playing an exclusive Lunatic Calm set), Dogtown Clash and the Reject Beats Crew.

An exciting prospect for the night is the live show from Dub Pistols. This band have been at the forefront of live dance music for many years with their electrifying energy on stage and bottom line, they make some of the best beats and hooks that can be heard – fact. And with Barry Ashworth leading the charge, expect the unexpected from a front man who definitely knows what being a focal point is all about. Dub Pistols have produced four studio albums and the most recent ‘Rum and Coke’ shows how they are thought of by their peers in the music industry. Everyone wanted a piece and as a result Norman Cook, Rodney P, Justin Robertson, Lindy Layton and Ashley Slater all make guest appearances on the album.

Bringing the bass heavy element to the proceedings will be ‘Noise’, especially brought in to offer some of the filthiest Dubstep as they play host in the Front Room. Dubstep crew Pixel Fist will take charge and will be ably accompanied by Noise residents. Pixel Fist is the mindblowing dubstep project that Audio, Mackie, Lorne & MC Stapleton have been working on. Three heavy drum & bass producers bringing the dubstep madness! Having released their debut LP “Our Sound” at the end of 2010, the future looks bright as they are set to terrorise dancefloors across the capital and beyond, starting here with Jamm.
