Techno Therapy Records Pres. Pig & Dan
With the extended bank holiday comes some serious clubbing. On Thursday 28 April 2011, in a secret warehouse location in Shoreditch, Techno Therapy Records will be hosting their second night of the year, with none other than Pig & Dan leading the charge at this twelve hour underground party.
Techno Therapy Records welcome to the fold Pig & Dan in order to celebrate what will no doubt be a monumental occasion, but also highlight their forthcoming release “Tears of a Clown” on the hosts label. Pig (real name Igor) & Dan have been making some of the best underground dance music and setting dance floors alight for well over a decade. Their popularity has seen them feature regularly on SvenVath’s seminal Cocoon Recordings. This will be the duos first visit to London of 2011 and with no further bookings to date in the capital (due to a hectic studio schedule and many dates already booked in across Europe over the months ahead), this opportunity to get up close and personal with Pig & Dan is one surely not to be missed.
Of course the Techno Therapy guys have not rested there. Added to the line up are none other than Justin Robertson, Shane Watcha and Chris Stanford, all of who terrorized the dance floor in February with individually amazing sets that linked together perfectly on the night. No wonder they are back again for this one.
In true Techno Therapy style, they have at the eleventh hour, decided to throw two stunning additions to the line up in Allez-Allez and warehouse maestros Dollop. Allez-Allez have been a serious figure on the DJ circuit for a few years now and this London duo have made a real name for themselves (as the dance floors at Fabric, Plastic People and Cargo will know) with a real mix of all things electronic, industrial and house. With a great debut release at the latter part of 2010 and their own imprint ‘Amazing Sounds’ also gathering pace, when you hear them play at this Secret Warehouse, you will understand the hype if you didn’t already!
Dollop know a thing or two about warehouse parties and they have picked the right night to get back underground. Used to rubbing shoulders in the booth with the best around, they will feel totally at home with Techno Therapy and will no doubt smash an electronic disco infused set to shake the foundations of this EC2 building. Techno Therapy are becoming renowned for their underground shindigs (as well of course their brilliant label releases), taking over empty warehouses and showcasing the cream of underground dance music talent. Hosting Darko Esser in February was a master stroke, as he shook the warehouse foundations and offered London a chance to witness this incredible artist for the first time in the city.
Just to be clear this is a Warehouse Party! Twelve hours of cutting edge new upfront underground music from the forefront of an ever developing scene, while offering a hand of thanks to times past as at 10am, Techno Therapy Records will pack up, bolt and you will not see them again (well, until the next secret location takes their fancy).
Pig & Dan tours the UK as part of the release of their forthcoming track 'Tears of a Clown' with remixes by Ryan Davis, Max Cooper, and Colin John. Ryan Davis / Max Cooper will not appear at Techno Therapy Warehouse Party on this date.
