Sounds Good continues at the freshly refurbished Lockside Lounge with the latest instalment of our bi monthly residency. The increasingly popular venue overlooking Camden Lock provides the perfect backdrop for the sumptuous mix of disco, house and freestyle tunes the Sounds Good DJís drop. This month the resident crew are joined by renowned record label Tirk Records.
Matty J & Ben Terry are the resident DJ double act at East London label Tirk Records, the critically acclaimed imprint that rose from the ashes of the legendary Nuphonic stable. Having played at the UK's premier night spots and most famous festivals the pair have now started to trot the globe making appearances in LA, Australia, Berlin and Stockholm and even finding time to hit Malawi in the depths of Africa. Amazingly they still find time to hold annual residencies at The Garden Festival, Snowbombing and We Love at Space in Ibiza, whilst hosting regular London promotions They Shoot Horses Donít They? and Blaze of Glory. Equally happy playing slow burning warm-ups or causing peak time destruction, the Tirk Records boys will rock the Lockside.
DJ and Promoter Paddy Freeform continues to blaze a trail with his white hot Universal Vibes imprint, and now through his Soulsonics production alias. With a busy 2011 on the cards, catch Paddy in London while you can. ithcysoul DJ's Matt Young & Alex K have been rocking the London party scene for over 5 years now holding down their residency at the ever popular ///Shift nights. As always, the pair are up for a party and ever ready to rock the dance floor with their blend of disco, funk and house.
Sounds Good will also welcome Girls On Top and the Ghetto Method Collective to launch our collaborative summer art program that will see live art jams on the Lockside terrace throughout the season. The 19th of March will see Sounds Good host the after party for the annual Girls On Top graffiti jam in Stockwell and to commemorate weíll be showcasing an exclusive collection of canvas artwork from the all female line up. Featured artists include Cry, Chock, Fauna, Claudia Sabe, Luna, Motel 7, Miss C and Candie, with more names to be confirmed.
