***** PLEASE NOTE THE VENUE CHANGE FOR THE PARTY THIS SATURDAY. WE WILL NOW BE HOSTING THE PARTY AT 12 TURN 13. FULL ADDRESS DETAILS BELOW *****

It's another round of back-to-back party weekends. This time, the show will go on no matter what visa snafus take place, as Justin's dropping back in from Berlin to join Eamon for for both parties. Mister Carter's been treating the techno capital to breaths of fresh (varied, analogue) air nearly every week, and while it's been fun, he's aching for Brooklyn. There's no place like home.

He and Eamon will be joined by two top notch guests over the two weekends, first, on April 2, by a gent called Caribou. If you haven't heard of him, get on the Google fast, and order yourself a copy of Swim. The album, his fifth, was released last April to all kinds of fanfare, earning him a spot in the hearts of indie rock and dance music enthusiasts all over the world, not to mention a well deserved position in the top twenty records of 2010 from Pitchfork. Caribou's not just a producer, though. The man's been DJing for fifteen years, and the sets floating around the worldwide web are just the kind we like – insanely diverse, intricately woven, surprising, exciting. We could go on.

This all begs a question. How do we follow that? The answer is Joy Orbison, a young London-based producer, who after two years and only four releases has got a lot of folks frothed up. For good reason, too. Each of the singles he's released seems to have tapped the zeitgeist. With clear dubstep leanings, he's been grouped in with excitement about that genre, but he's transcended it with references to classic American house that capture the old-school heads and melodic sensibilities that capture anyone with an ear for a hook. This is the first time he's ever played in the States, and we're certain it's going to be special.

And that's just the music. A party's gotta have a good space, good people and a good soundsystem, you know, and the Mister's got all that sorted as usual. We'll be at 341 Scholes in Brooklyn, our home loft; we'll have the 10,000 watts of Turbosound cranking; and everyone from the door to the bar will be sweet as pie. And there's an open beer bar for the first hour of the party, too. Now all that's left is for you to show up and make it happen with those crazy dance moves. We'll see them (and you) there.
