After the succes of the Dumb Unit vs Serialism a few months ago, Serialism is back at Watergate.
The London/Berlin label based showcases presents:
The French boy wonder from London, one of Cadenza's leading Vagabundos needs no introduction. Cesar's special energy is a detonator for the dancefloor. Moving his first production steps on Serialism a few years ago Cesar has made a skyrocketing progression with his Chocopop Jazz track on Remake Music and the Descarga Ep, with Pablo Cahn Speyer, on Cadenza. Coming soon are more releases on Cadenza, Visionquest and a track featured on Serialism' London Cuts Vol.2.
Cesare vs Disorder
Head Honcho of the label, going from strengtht to strengtht with his releases on Dumb Unit, Stock5, Clink, Mean and Serialism of course. Italian Cesare Marchese aka Cesare vs Disorder (Also Queen Atom/CEZ/Sire Cactus) has received massive recognition from the techno and house scene in the past few years, getting increasingly well known thanks to his unique productions and great performances which have gained him an established position between the industry’s fresh and upcoming talents. His signature of dark and deep electronic sounds are all over his work, aiming to pull us deeper into the mindset of this complex artist while infusing uplifting house elements and raw classic touches meticulously throughout his productions.
There's a duality to Jin Choi. And you can see it in his music…
Born in Korea, raised in Germany (now living in Berlin). The Hardcore and the Indierock past, the subtle, almost intellectual house and techno future. His balancing act between the business world and his private love of all things that are anti-business. Hell, Jin even has two birthdays (one that’s his actual one, and one that is listed on his passport). He makes music to communicate emotion. A message or a feeling that he feels is absolutely essential. From his early sparse techno offerings, which included rules about rhythm without claps or obvious hi-hat patterns, to his current obsession with treated pianos, tightly wound snappy percussions and treated but beautiful vocals, Jin has always had a unique and strong voice. Always knowing what sound was needed, and where to place it in the frequency spectrum.
This year will bring the founding of his new record label, Private Gold. A vehicle with which to release emotional, intellectual, and beautiful music of his own and a few close friends, that will find a place with a label that is willing to take risks and occasionally steps away from the dancefloor, a label that is working for its artists and the quality of the music, a label that doesn’t want to compromise.
With releases on Archipel, Lessizmore, Roman-Photo, Contexterrior, Serialism and Systematic under his belt we are extremely happy to have him on board on Serialism.
Mean Records co-founder and Serialism collaborator, Alejandro Lopez Ross aka Rudolf is a veteran of the minimal techno scene. Playing all over the world and with releases on Mean, Serialism, Nerv Music and Archipel, Rudolf is more than ever a symbol of the true electronic underground.
Electronically schooled in Brussels, landing in London in 2007 and deejaying all over Europe, Onirik has recently been managing Serialism and Mean records together with Cesare.
Coming soon are an EP on Serialism for 2011 as well as having a track featured on the forthcoming compilation London Cuts Vol.2.
