We are mightily proud to present the first in a new regular feature for Brighton ? Craig Charles' Funk & Soul Club!

Yes, for those of you who don't know, Craig Charles (Red Dwarf, Robot Wars, Coronation St) also presents the hugely popular Funk & Soul Show on BBC 6Music every Saturday night. This March will see him bringing his Trunk of Funk to the south coast for the first time to appear at his very own Brighton residency.

And that's not it either. Here's what we've got lined up for you:

Craig Charles - DJ Set
Supreme funk, soul and anything influenced by funk & soul. Mr Charles brings us the best new acts on the scene and a huge selection of classics including Motown, Stax, P-Funk and anything else which would rightly be considered very, very good.

The Impellers (Freestyle Records) - LIVE
"Brighton's Finest" (according to Craig Charles) return for their first hometown show in over a year. The Impellers not only perform original heavy soul and dirty funk, but also a live mix of classic funk and hip hop breaks including the mighty James Brown, The Mohawks, Funk Inc, Marva Whitney and more, more, more. This is a brand new set never played in Brighton before so be sure not to miss it.

Mixmaster Morris
A longstanding hero of eclectic geniusness, Mixmaster Morris returns to Brighton to bring us an education in beats, breaks and sonic funfoolery.
Named in numerous lists of top UK DJs, the man has appeared at pretty much all of the leading festivals across the UK and worldwide, been involved with hugely successful labels including Ninja Tune and is recognised as one of the most knowledgeable heads in this thing we call music. An amazing addition to our line-up.

Jazz Wax
Long time resident of the famed BANG! And We, Like You parties since the early days in the East End of London, this Djing Gem is coming to Brighton to mix up the Funk and Disco with a dash of Hip Hop. If anyone is to get you hot and sweaty on the dance floor this man will.

Beatwell
Brighton resident Beatwell has been around on the festival circuit for a few years now, bringing his uptempo funk breaks, classic 45s and beat-heavy treats to The Big Chill, Secret Garden Party and many other top UK events. Always keep the floor moving. Mighty mighty.
