DSCNTD 001

Disconnected Sounds launches with a one off pressing of 300 hand stamped and individually numbered white labels, which will be followed with a full digital release. DSCNTD 001 is a four track EP featuring tracks from newcomers, Deft, Hugh Pascall, Chocky & Adam Curtain. The record begins with Croydon boy Deft’s luscious down tempo joint ‘Paradise’. Classically trained jazz musician Hugh Pascall’s follows on with ‘Joy Padding’ which is a slice of breathtaking syncopated electronica. The B side takes us in a housey direction, kicking off with Chocky’s ‘Scat’, a deep, groove laden, head nodder. ‘Calcut’, a purcussive, twisted 4/4 sub-bass work out by Nottingham’s Adam Curtain finishes the whole thing off. DSCNTD 001 comprises a refreshing take on electronic music including four tracks perfect for Djs that refuse to be defined by a genre.

Since launching the website six months ago, our regular podcasts, reviews and features have focused on existing and emerging talent within electronic music. This release marks our commitment to pushing new producers and new music. Following this initial release, each of the artists will follow up with a dedicated EP later in the year.
